Riffus is a boy who has to rely on wheelchair for his whole life. He is just like a normal child who studied in a normal school. After his O level he managed to get into the poly and the course he wanted. He was very happy that he can do what he like most which is programming. But deep down inside him, he was very worry about whether anyone would help him in school. As all his secondary school friends went to different poly.

Finally after a few months of waiting, the school orientation has arrived. Of course all his fears are bugging him again. Despite all his fears, he decided to challenge himself once more. “I must make a few friends during my orientation,” he told himself. Given his talkative nature, it wasn’t hard for him made some friends. During the whole orientation, he was looked after by the school seniors who are very good to him. After three days, the orientation ended, Riffus was still uncertain about his new environment.

After a week, it’s the first day of school. He just went to school without all his worries. Due to the fact that earlier on the class chairman arranged a duty timetable for taking of him. After a day with his classmates, he enjoyed himself a lot. However something happened to him during one of their practical session. He started to take notice of a girl from his class who is sitting at the opposite row. “She is quite pretty, why didn’t I notice her last time,” he thought. During the two hours, he looking at her a few times because he cant take his eyes off her. From then on, Riffus will always try to catch a glimpse of her face. After two weeks in school, he got to know that she is called Rin. Following that he asked for her handphone number from his class chairman.

He told her how he got her number in his first sms to her. In that sms he also asked her to add him in msn and friendster. “That wasn’t too hard,” he joked with himself. They talked about their interests in msn. From that chat, he left a quite good impression on her. He also found out that, both of them liked the same singer. Despite all this, he still felt that she only treat him as her classmate. Her friends and her spent some time with him on her duty days. Besides that they always go their separate ways with their friends. However he always talked a lot with her online and through sms. She would always ask him for help regarding school work. Of course he helped her willingly every time. In order not to so obvious that he only help her. He started helping his friends in whichever way he could. When Riffus started to know Rin better, he asked her if she is attached. He expected it to be yes, and it was indeed a yes.

At first he felt quite sad about it, but he told himself that a girl with her looks is bound to be attached. Therefore he continue to be her friend, hiding his feelings from. Then she asked him who he like in the class. He was too shocked to reply her, and told her nobody. “You idiot boy why didn’t you told her,” he shouted in his head. Finally after a few months of school, it is approaching examinations. Being concern about her, he asked her is there any problems with your studies? She told him that she do not understand the programming module. Being quite average in that module, he told her that the class will be having a group revision. He asked her to come along and she agreed. Some of his friends said to him “You are fast in doing so”.

He taught her everything he knew about it. His best friend who is the smartest in class praised him for being able to explain everything very clearly to her. He helped her until the day of exams. The days he spent teaching her was his happiest days. As he felt being disabled he is still able to help her.

When they got their examinations, he was very happy that the both of them got good results.
